Blended Post Graduate Programme in Management (BPGP)*

BPGP is designed to develop new business leadership and entrepreneurial skills to address the pressing needs of the business world. Modern professionals are expected to understand emerging and high-growth economies, their impact on markets, and how their organizations leverage opportunities. The programme employs a comprehensive approach to meet these demands, incorporating diverse learning methodologies. Through case studies, lectures, projects, peer-to-peer experiential activities, and simulations facilitated by the distinguished faculty at IIMA, participants will learn how to apply concepts to real-life business and entrepreneurial situations. The individual and group projects further help participants integrate learning from different courses to address business and management problems. BPGP thus positions its participants to thrive in the ever-evolving and competitive business landscape.

Despite being offered in a blended mode with online and on-campus modules, BPGP maintains the highest standards of teaching quality and knowledge dissemination, aligning closely with the rigour observed in traditional full-time courses. The programme upholds stringent admission standards, ensuring participants are selected based on merit and potential. The curriculum, spanning over two years, is curated with the same meticulous attention to detail as other MBA programmes at IIMA, such as PGP and PGPX, covering essential business domains and leveraging the institution's renowned case-based pedagogy.

Working Professionals and Entrepreneurs with a minimum of 3 years of full-time work experience after completion of graduation, as of April 30, 2026. Minimum Age of 24 years as of April 30, 2026. (i.e., date of birth on or before April 30, 2002). There is no upper age limit. There is no upper age limit. Holding at least a bachelor's degree/CA/CS/ICWA or equivalent in any discipline (Minimum 15 years of study as per the education system in India, i.e. 10 + 2 + 3 or 4 as the case may be), with at least 50 per cent marks in aggregate or equivalent CGPA, awarded by any of the recognized universities.

The programme is beneficial for working professionals aspiring to managerial or entrepreneurial growth. Individuals at junior, middle and senior management levels aiming to lead their organisations in the future are encouraged to apply. BPGP is a 2-year degree-granting postgraduate programme offered by IIM Ahmedabad. There is a provision for completing the programme in 3 years, subject to approval by the Programme Executive Committee on a case-by-case basis.

Award of the MBA degree requires successful completion of 36 credits, including core courses, elective courses and 2 credits of projects. The minimum cumulative grade point average required for the programme shall be similar to the requirements of the institute's other degree-granting programmes. The project course involves a demonstration of the application of the learnings of the first-year courses in situations involving managerial decisions. 

The pedagogy comprises case studies, lectures, projects, peer-to-peer experiential learning activities, and simulations. These components, facilitated by IIM Ahmedabad's faculty, aim to equip participants with the knowledge, understanding and hands-on skills to apply their learning immediately in the workplace. Additionally, participants will have access to all the learning resources of IIMA, including digital access to Vikram Sarabhai Library resources.

IIMA has partnered with VCNow (the technology partner), to deliver this programme primarily through live online synchronous mode ensuring seamless accessibility. Additionally, participants will be able to attend 6 mandatory on-campus immersions at IIM Ahmedabad campus. The total teaching hours are 900 hours. The programme is expected to begin with the campus module. The duration of the campus visits will be around one week each per term.
